FAQ

What does the job involve?
As our business goals depend on talented individuals progressing through the company, the role of a recruitment consultant encompasses all aspects of the task from day one. Typically, we break the task into four key competencies which are; Selling our concept to both new and existing clients, raising in depth vacancies with those clients through a constancy approach, interviewing pre-screened candidates and matching those candidates to the database of client vacancies. We then follow the interviews we set up with both clients and candidates so both parties achieve their own goals.

What's the speed of progression?
Clearly the first aim is for you to become competent within the job, so you feel confident and in control of your own ability, both in terms of being able to repeat your success and dictate your earnings. We have a range of examples where individuals have achieved this and therefore progressed, with the quickest being 9 months, but the average being 18 months to 2 years.

What's the training like?
We pride ourselves on providing training which sets the benchmark for our industry sector. From day one, you can expect a full induction which covers a deeper appreciation of our business goals, values and ethos, standards and the role itself (don't worry if you have never done the role or even aspects of it, 90% of us didn't either). Once inducted your Manager will then work closely with you on your personal development program (PDP) tracking your experiences and development needs. Those experiences and confirmation of your skills are reviewed quarterly and are pay linked. On top of this we run National training days to close out certain skills coupled with Leadership weekends where those identified as potential successors are invited to challenge their leadership capabilities and identify models and tools that would benefit someone in such a role.

Do you work in teams?
Definitely, it may sound cliché; however, we have found working in teams is far more effective than as individuals. As in every team each person plays a role and has responsibilities in certain areas, the team also works to support each individual in their success.

Who are your clients?
It ranges, but we work with small medium size enterprises through to multi-national blue chips. What is important is that we provide the same quality to all.

What's the team social life like?
If you have ever played team sports you will relate well to the way teams works within ATA. As you can imagine there is a fair amount of competition to be the best, but the game is played fairly! All the successes are celebrated and teams regularly have social occasions from drinks at the pub to Go-Karting.

What does OTE mean?
On target earnings. This is how much you can expect to earn if you achieve the targets that are set, those of which are the same for all within the same level. We believe heavily in rewarding success, so those that exceed targets earn uncapped commissions.
